The Monash University Research team needs your help!
Are you an Australian school student who has a learning plan (or their parent), or teacher who is involved in developing learning plans?
20 minutes of your time can help researchers understand what supports could empower students in planning for their learning and support at school.
6 X $20 gift cards are also up for grabs as a thank you to participants!
The aim of this research is to identify the barriers and facilitators to student voice/agency/involvement when planning for their learning and support in both primary and secondary schools. There is very little (to none!) research looking at this in Australian settings, and the findings will help us equip schools, parents and students (e.g. through resources; professional learning courses) to better engage in planning that hears and acts on a student’s preferences, ideas etc, and involves them in decision making.
The link below provides detailed information for each participant group about what participation involves for them. (Note: the primary student survey is embedded within the parent survey, to ensure this age group receives the support they need with reading, interpreting and responding to questions).
